Promoting sustainable WASH practices to improve health and resilience in communities
Caritas Kumba WASH Projects are committed to transforming the health and wellbeing of communities through sustainable water, sanitation, and hygiene practices. Our mission is to empower these communities by equipping them with the tools, knowledge, and support necessary to achieve improved health and sustainable living conditions. We envision a world where every individual, regardless of their circumstances, has access to clean water, proper sanitation, and the means to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Our approach is community-driven; We believe in the power of local leadership and the importance of sustainable WASH practices. We work closely with communities, and tailor our interventions to meet their specific needs and aspirations.
In response to the socio-political crisis in Cameroon, we have over 50,000 individuals through various projects. Women and girls affected by the crisis have received WASH/MHM kits, enabling them to manage their monthly menstruation privately, safely, and comfortably, while also improving their sanitary conditions.
Our long-term WASH goal is to support communities prevent infections, control the spread of disease, uphold the dignity so as to maintain healthy and vibrant communities, through Constructing Boreholes, latrines, Hygiene Education and monitoring of trends and its impact on communities.
